As a VMware VCI, I need to maintain my certifications and
this has led to me holding a number of certifications with both VMware and
Microsoft.
Within VMware, I hold all of the current VMware Certified
Associate certifications, but one, and that is the newly released:
VMware Certified Associate – Digital Business Transformation
(VCA-DBT)
Here’s the description.
Earning this
certification validates your understanding of virtualization concepts and how
they drive an enterprise’s digital agenda. It proves that you are familiar with
the VMware products and technologies that support VMware Cloud Foundation and
Cross-Cloud Architecture solutions including vSphere, vSAN, NSX, and the
vRealize Suite.
That looks like a
lot of information to take in, and don’t get me wrong it is.
The question
therefore, is “How would I prepare for this certification?”
The answer, is “How
do you fancy 60 days free access to VMware Learning zone?”
If your answer is
yes then visit the VMware
Learning Zone (Trial Subscription) site
Once signed up read
the exam
study guide
Remember that your Learning Zone trial is for 60 days, so
use that time to properly prepare, once you’re 100% happy, register for and
then pass
exam 1V0-701 (provided by Pearson VUE).
The exam is 135 minutes long and is non-proctored, so you
can do it from the comfort of your own home, there’s 50 questions, all multiple
choice, drag and drop, and matching. The passing score is 300 out of a possible
500
I feel that this certification for anyone who loves acronyms
and letters after their name, is an ideal entry in to VMware products, after
gaining this certification, why not look into gaining your VCP
certification.
Good luck with your endeavours.
